Hope International University’s production of the Broadway classic, Annie: The Musical, takes the audience on an unforgettable adventure set in 1930’s New York. As Annie’s tale unfolds, the indomitable young orphan foils the evil machinations of her orphanage’s diabolical director, Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually finds a new home and family with the enigmatic billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
HIU’s Center for Music & Worship Arts will stage public performances at 7:30pm on April 6, 7, 13, and 14* in HIU’s Pacific Auditorium. The talented cast includes HIU students and alumni representing a broad spectrum of programs and disciplines.
For over a decade, under the direction of Ember Williams, HIU’s spring musical has become a popular annual event for the local community as well as alumni and friends of the University. And for the thirteenth consecutive year, HIU will also host special matinee performances for local elementary, junior high, and high school students, which includes a meet and greet with the cast.
