Business Administration, M.B.A. and Educational Leadership, M.A., Dual Degree
Graduates of this dual-degree program at Â鶹´«Ã½ earn a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Master of Business Administration (M.A./MBA). The SLU program provides an awareness of the functional relationships between the educational system, business, and administrative organizations. The increasing complexity of educational organizations and nonprofit institutions makes understanding business concepts important for students considering careers as administrators in educational institutions.
The M.A. in Educational Leadership can be combined with either the Professional MBA or the One-Year MBA to complete the dual degree. The full-time, One-Year MBA program includes a study abroad component in which students study foreign-based business cases, visit local businesses and attend guest lectures. The Professional MBA is designed for working professionals and can be completed in 2-2.5 years on average while attending part time. Additionally, the class schedules for the educational leadership program accommodate busy working professionals.Ìý
The Master of Arts in Educational Leadership is provided through an online delivery design. Students attend synchronous online course sessions through Zoom, and complete coursework asynchronously through the Canvas learning management system.
Both programs benefit from a large alumni network in the St. Louis area and beyond.ÌýGraduates of these programs have successfully pursued leadership opportunities in schools and school systems, corporations, the nonprofit and social service sector, government and the entrepreneurial space.
