Pitch Perfect: The Inaugural SLU eMentor Mini Pitch Night
03/28/2024
On March 19, the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship at Â鶹´«Ã½ hosted the inaugural SLU eMentor Mini Pitch Night. This event provided students with a platform to showcase their ideas through succinct 60-second pitches, enabling them to receive insightful feedback and expand their professional networks.
Twelve students stepped up to the plate, delivering pitches ranging from innovative business ideas to their post-graduation plans, and even delving into the profound question of life's meaning itself.
The SLU eMentor Program’s diverse community of industry professionals provided support, critiques and constructive feedback throughout the event.
Lewis Sheats, director of the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship, highlighted the event's significance.
“Having students pitch in front of their peers and mentors is a great opportunity to get feedback on their ideas, but it’s also extremely important in strengthening their articulation abilities and building their confidence," Sheats said. "Being vulnerable during a quick mini-pitch is integral in making connections throughout our mentor network. This opportunity facilitates organic mentorship to develop between students and mentors.â€
