Degree Programs
Orthodontics
This 30-month program leads to a Master of Science in Dentistry degree and a Certificate in Orthodontics. This period of full-time study provides for intensive instruction and training in the biological and clinical sciences related to the specialty of orthodontics.
This advanced dental training program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association. A class of fourteen students are accepted to the program each year.
Pediatric Dentistry
This 24-month program leads to a Master of Science in Dentistry with a concentration
in pediatric dentistry, as well as a post-doctoral certificate. Emphasis is placed
on all phases of pediatric dentistry while extensive experience is provided in the
areas of sedation, analgesia and the use of general anesthesia to deliver dental treatment.
This advanced dental training program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental
Accreditation of the American Dental Association. A class of three students are accepted
to the program each year.
Periodontics
This 36-month program leads to a Master of Science in Dentistry degree with a Certificate in Periodontics. Offered in close affiliation with Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, the program consists of clinical and didactic training on the graduate level in the specialty of Periodontics. Conducted at both Â鶹´«Ã½ and Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, the program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.
Following completion of the program, graduates are educationally qualified for certification by the American Board of Periodontology. Three residents are accepted to the program each year.
Endodontics
This 24-month program leads to a Master of Science in Dentistry degree and a Certificate in Endodontics. The program consists of clinical and didactic training on the graduate level in the specialty of endodontics.
The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association. Following completion of the program, graduates are educationally qualified for certification by the American Board of Endodontics. Three residents are accepted to the program each year.
