Making Your M.A.T. Degree Affordable
Many SLU undergraduate students qualify for generous merit scholarships from the University. For the graduate portion of the program, college-specific and athletic training-specific scholarships, such as the Brandi Burgett Memorial Award and Scholarship and Bob Baumann Endowed Scholarship, are available to students.
- Graduate entry: You can qualify for generous scholarships and financial awards made possible by generous alumni and benefactors of SLU.
- Undergraduate entry: Your scholarship package is coordinated by the SLU Office of Admission. Many of our past and current students have received major university scholarships such as the presidential (full tuition coverage), vice presidential and Martin Luther King scholarships. During the graduate years of 3+2 accelerated masters programs, you can earn college, departmental and/or donor-directed scholarships, such as the Brandi Burgett Memorial Award and Scholarship or the Bob Baumann Endowed Scholarship.

SLU Athletic Training Highlights
- SLU's athletic training program is the standard of excellence within the field, boasting an outstanding pass rate on the Board of Certification (BOC) exam and excellent job placement rates. As a SLU athletic training student, you and the faculty are engaged regularly in the profession, receiving honors at the national and international levels.
- Join a program that has a proven track record of global engagement: the athletic program has a curricular track in which you can attend SLU's campus in Madrid, Spain for up to four semesters; an international clinical exchange program with universities in Spain and Ireland; and the program is an institutional member of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy (WFATT).
- Upon graduation, you will be eligible to take the BOC Examination for the Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential.
