School of Education Scholarship Opportunities
Two new scholarship opportunities are available for students in Â鶹´«Ã½'s School of Education.
The School of Education is excited to announce brand new scholarship opportunities for incoming students. When students enter the SLU School of Education, they are surrounded by a caring community and begin work in schools almost immediately.
Both scholarships have a priority deadline of April 15.
The Teachers of Tomorrow (ToT) Scholarship has been developed to support promising future educators who have faced financial challenges to attend the Â鶹´«Ã½ School of Education to pursue a career as an educator or educational leader.
The ToT Scholarship has an award value up to $15,000 per academic year. This competitive award can be in combination with other SLU merit and/or SLU grant awards and applied to undergraduate tuition and/or housing charges.
Eligibility Requirements
Incoming Fall 2019 Students
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.00 or higher, weighted or unweighted, as reported on your transcript at the end of your junior year.
- ACT composite of 23 or greater.
Transfer Students
- Completion of at least 24 credit hours of transferable college coursework by the end of the spring term.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher as calculated by Â鶹´«Ã½ .
This scholarship is renewable every year based on the following qualifications:
- Full-time student (at least 12 credit hours each semester) majoring in education.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 required for renewal.
- Meet twice a semester with SOE program coordinator to discuss college success.
The Excellence & Equity in Education Scholarship (3E) has been developed to support promising future educators who have faced financial challenges to attend the Saint Louis University School of Education to pursue a career as an educator or educational leader.
Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s School of Education is rooted in a commitment to serve the community by helping to build a teaching force that is racially diverse and focused on serving students.
Eligibility Requirements
Incoming Fall 2019 Students
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.00 or higher, weighted or unweighted, as reported on your transcript at the end of your junior year.
- ACT composite of 23 or greater.
Transfer Students
- Completion of at least 24 credit hours of transferable college coursework by the end of the spring term.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher as calculated by Â鶹´«Ã½. This number
may not correspond with your GPA as it appears on your transcript.
This scholarship is renewable every year based on the following qualifications:
- Must be a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours each semester) majoring in education.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 required for renewal.
- Meet twice a semester with SOE program coordinator to discuss college success.
