Six programs, led by SLUCare physicians, earned top 50 spots on the newly-released Best Children's Hospital Specialty rankings. 

U.S. News & World Report has named SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital among the nation’s best on its newly-released rankings list.

Six programs, including neonatal care, urology and cancer were among those recognized on the list.

Cardinal Glennon Rankings

Pediatricians from 鶹ý’s academic medical practice, SLUCare, staff the hospital and are at the forefront of caring for sick children and assisting their families.

“I would like to congratulate everyone at Cardinal Glennon on these outstanding results, which are the best we have achieved to date. As a pediatric pulmonologist myself, it is particularly rewarding to see that pulmonary entered the rankings this year,” said Robert Wilmott, M.D., Vice President for Medical Affairs and Dean of the University’s School of Medicine. “The recognition is very much deserved and want to thank those who worked tirelessly to put the novel programs and initiatives in place, and to submit the documentation, that led to this outcome.”

鶹ý the U.S. News Best Children’s Hospital Rankings

The annual U.S. News Best Children’s Hospital rankings, now in their 14th year, offer guidance to parents seeking the best place for their very sick child. The top 50 medical centers are ranked in 10 specialties, including pediatric cancer, pediatric cardiology and heart surgery and neonatal care. In the 2020-21 rankings, 88 hospitals ranked among the top 50 in at least one pediatric medical specialty.
