Wendy Ritz, 2024 AIB-SE Conference Chair enjoyed the conference.

"The academic conference on the stunning Â鶹´«Ã½ campus was a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of being physically present for connecting and networking," Ritz said. "The attendees continue to post online about the campus’ beauty and a sense of security while exploring the city's treasures—from the majestic Arch to the serene Forest Park and impressive Saint Louis Zoo. Together, we not only shared knowledge but also created lasting memories in a truly vibrant environment."

Over 50 X-Culture students were also in attendance. This year’s X-Culture students represented international teams that competed to solve a case created in collaboration by Maritz and X-Culture faculty.

Hadi Alhorr, Ph.D., director of the Boeing Institute of International Business called the conference a success.

“As the oldest University West of the Mississippi, Â鶹´«Ã½ has been playing a crucial role in the economic prosperity of the region," Alhorr said. "One of the university’s strategic goals is to ensure that our academic and professional programs have a global perspective.  More specifically, the Boeing Institute of International Business, since its inception in 1984, has focused on academic and corporate outreach programs centered around international business issues. We would like to be perceived as a robust catalyst for international business research and we strive to be part of a larger community, such as the Academy of International Business, that is actively deciphering through the complexities of global business. Hence, hosting the AIB-SE conference on our campus was organic as it is aligned with our mission and brings us closer to this community.â€
