SLU ID

Your SLU ID is how you access Â鶹´«Ã½ buildings such as Pius XII Memorial Library or Simon Recreation Center, as well as parking and meal plans.

Your SLU ID is also how you manage Billiken Bucks or your Bonus Flex Account. It can even be used as a U.S. Bank ATM and debit card.

Get a SLU ID

To get a SLU ID, visit Wool Center, Suite 130, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are a new student, submit your photo to receive your ID at SLU 101

  • Bring an official photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport.
  • Students: Have your Banner ID number.
  • Faculty: Bring your offer letter.
  • Staff: Bring your "New Hire Confirmation" sheet.

What if I am a staff member and a student?

You will only be issued one SLU ID, no matter how many ways you are tied to Saint Louis University. Your primary relationship with the University determines the type of card you get. For example, full-time staff who take classes at SLU are issued staff cards. Full-time students who work part-time at SLU are issued a student ID.

What does a SLU ID cost?

There is no charge for the first SLU ID we issue you. Active cards that need to be replaced due to theft or natural wear and tear are free, but you must have a police report number or turn in the worn card. Natural wear and tear results from swiping cards through card readers and does not include punching holes, scratches, breaks or cuts. The fee for replacing an ID card is $25.

What if I lose my SLU ID?

Call Parking, Card and Transportation Services immediately at 314-977-2957. We will deactivate your lost SLU ID, preventing anyone from using your Billiken Bucks or Bonus Flex account or any other services.

If your SLU ID is your U.S. Bank ATM card, please call 314-533-1041 to deactivate the ATM portion of the card.

It is $25 to replace a lost ID. You can pay for the replacement via cash, check, debit or credit at our office. Students actively enrolled in classes can bill the fee to their student account and eligible faculty/staff members may pay for the ID through payroll deduction.

My SLU ID isn’t working.

Call the Office of Parking, Card and Transportation Services at 314-977-2957, and we will check the system. For door access, contact the Department of Public Safety at 314-977-5626 or cardaccessdps@slu.edu. It may be necessary for you to visit our office so that we may check your SLU ID.

I need door access to a building.

The Department of Public Safety oversees all door access on campus. To request special access to a building or access during non-business hours, or with questions, contact 314-977-5626 or cardaccessdps@slu.edu.

Billiken Bucks and Bonus Flex Accounts

Students, parents, faculty and staff have , which can be used to buy food and services on campus. You can:

Where are Billiken Bucks and Flex/Bonus Flex accepted?

Billiken Bucks and Flex/Bonus Flex are accepted at all University campus dining locations. Billiken Bucks can be used for purchases at the Academic Tech Commons in Pius Library, campus bookstore, printing, vending machines and on ITS software. They can also be used at the following businesses off campus:

  • CVS Pharmacy (3925 Lindell Blvd.)
  • Grand Mediterranean (519 N Grand Blvd)
  • Humphrey's (3700 Laclede Ave.)
  • Snarf's Sandwiches (374 A S. Grand Blvd.)
Can I give someone else Billiken Bucks?

Yes. Visit  and select "Guest Deposit." You will need to know the cardholder’s nine-digit SLU Banner ID and have a credit card ready. These deposits are anonymous, so you may wish to notify the recipient yourself. For more information, contact mealplans@slu.edu.

How do I withdraw Billiken Bucks or Bonus Flex from my account?

Complete a to close your Billiken Bucks or Bonus Flex account. Your refund will be credited to your student account and applied to any outstanding charges first. Any remaining credit will be sent directly to you. If crediting to student accounts is not possible, a check will be issued.  Funds that have been added as a gift or incentive from a University department, or were added as a promotional incentive, cannot be refunded.

SLU chose U.S. Bank as its partner to offer students, faculty, and staff the option to add banking functionality to the campus ID card.
