- 6th-8th Grade (Middle School/Junior High): These visits include a 30-minute educational activity and 60-minute campus tour.
- K-5th Grade (Elementary): These visits include a 15-minute introduction to college and 30-minute abbreviated campus tour with a current student.

Groups may request to visit campus between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, however Mondays and Fridays are very limited due to high volume in the New Student Visit Center. Please note that we do not accommodate groups in December, January, and May, nor during midterms, finals or holiday breaks. Saturday visits may be available on a case-by-case basis, according to visit staff and student availability.
At this time, we cannot provide meals or facilities for meals on campus for visiting groups. Our main dining facilities are not open for public use, and food inventory is ordered for current students only and cannot accommodate outside groups. Saint Louis University’s contract with Sodexo Dining and Catering Services, the sole dining vendor for the University, does not allow for outside food and catering on campus. Since only a select few conference or classroom spaces allow food, outside sack lunches are not permitted. We are excited to have your group visit SLU and hope you can understand our policy, as it protects the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and campus. As an alternative, we recommend City Foundry STL, located adjacent to our campus.
High school aged groups will be able to view a residence hall room based on availability. Students 8th grade and younger cannot have access to residence halls.
You can also view floor plans for all residential living options. To view the particular layout for each residence hall, you will need to select that specific hall’s page.
Chaperones will be required to accompany groups at all times during the visit. Our required ratio is as follows:
- High School: One adult for every 15 students
- Elementary and Middle School: One adult for every 10 students
Arriving on time is important. Please realize that tour guides’ schedules are set to accommodate their classes. In the event of a late arrival, we will offer an abbreviated presentation, but we will be unable to alter the tour time. Our tour guides are student volunteers with limited availability surrounding their class schedules. Please contact the Office of Admission as soon as possible to inform us of your late arrival, 314-977-2500.
If you find it necessary to cancel your visit, it is essential that you give at least three days notice. Failure to do so may limit future schedule availability for your group. To cancel, please email the Office of Admission at visitslu@slu.edu.
