The mission of Guardian Angel Settlement Association is to serve the poor by helping them improve the quality of their lives and achieve economic independence.
- Angel Boutique Store Assistant: Assist with donations and customers at the Angel Boutique Thrift Store.
- Food Pantry Assistant: Guardian Angel is one of the oldest and largest client-choice food pantries in St. Louis area. We serve over 6,800 low-income families and seniors a year the zip codes 63104 and 63118 providing pantry staples, fresh produce, and meat. In addition to food we also provide other social services to help our clients along the road to self-sufficiency.
- Computer Trainer: Help low-income residents learn basic computer skills as a part of our work readiness program. Tech savvy volunteers will help teach computer classes in basic computer skills like using e-mail, Microsoft products, and keyboarding.

The Old North St. Louis Restoration Group is a community-based nonprofit organization established by neighborhood residents in 1981 to revitalize the physical and social dimensions of the community in a manner that respects its historic, cultural, and urban character.
- Neighborhood Maintenance: The Old North Neighborhood has a variety of properties and community gardens that need regular maintenance. Small group work days can be scheduled to help stabilize historic buildings, clean-up lots, and tend to landscaping issues around the neighborhood.
- Market Volunteer: The Old North St.Louis Restoration Group facilitates the North City Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings from June-October. Volunteers help set-up and tear down tents, sell produce for vendors who can't be present, and help out with children's activities as needed. Our volunteers are extremely important to the success of the market!

Founded in 1998, Revitalization 2000, Inc. (“R2K”) builds empowering relationships with residents of the Ville neighborhood of North St. Louis. We serve as a bridge between residents and the metropolitan area so that together we can build a better neighborhood and a better St. Louis. Claver House, the home base of R2K, broadens horizons and builds kinship. Recognizing the dignity of all persons, we help dissolve economic, racial, and cultural barriers.
- Food Distribution: On the first and third Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to noon we set up tables with food and hygiene supplies at our community garden across the street from Claver House. Neighborhood families, seniors, and anyone in need are welcome to stop by and fill a bag with items.
Educational Enrichment: Currently we offer STEAM activities weekdays after school (4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) at Hickey Elementary and on Saturday at Claver House (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.). Assist youth with activities and enrochment.

We take a holistic approach to Doing the Most Good where there is the most need without discrimination, whether it be disaster relief, emergency assistance, substance abuse rehabilitation, or educational programs for children.
Emergency Disaster Services Program: Help with any of the below tasks during and/or after natural disasters in the region:
- Food/ Hydration Services: Food and drink may be prepared and served at communal feeding sites or from one of the Army’s mobile feeding units/canteens to survivors and emergency workers.
- Emergency Sheltering: The Salvation Army may provide shelter in a facility identified by the local emergency management personnel, including municipal shelters or Salvation Army buildings.
- Clean-up: In addition to distributing clean-up supplies such as mops, brooms, buckets, shovels, detergents and tarps, The Salvation Army also spearheads and participates in local clean-up efforts.
- Emergency Communications: The Salvation Army helps provide emergency communications when more traditional networks, such as telephones, are not operating. The SATERN network has helped thousands of individuals locate loved ones during times of disaster.
- Spiritual and Emotional Care: The Salvation Army provides spiritual comfort and emotional support upon request to survivors and emergency workers, immediately following a disaster and continues to do so through long-term recovery efforts.

The St. Augustine Wellston Center is a Catholic, independent, community-based nonprofit promoting the greater well-being of low-income people in the Wellston area. We strive to support people mind, body, and soul by providing nutritious food, affordable staples, social service support and health needs in a supportive environment.
- Food Pantry Volunteer: The Center’s food pantry serves anywhere between 300 and 400 clients per month. Clients receive fresh produce, meat, eggs, milk, bread and canned foods to ensure access to healthy meals. The volunteer would assist with sorting the food donations to provide to clients.
- Thrift Store Volunteer: The Center receives donations from individuals, parishes, businesses, and from other sources that need to be sorted. Volunteers would sort through donations to verify that items received are in good condition for customers to buy. They volunteers would also stock new products, which would include categorizing and placing new products on the shelves. The volunteers may also price and tag items before stocking or putting them on the floor for sale.

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
- Adaptive Sports Buddy: Adaptive sports programs at the Y provide children and adults with disabilities the chance to play sports and participate in learning opportunities in a safe, fun atmosphere. Support the child you are matched with for the entire time of the event: game, warm-up, breaks. Assist the player in safely engaging in play according to their needs and direction.
- Youth Sports Coach: This volunteer would lead a team of youth in learning and competing in a team sport. Coaches receive training from the Y and are loaned equipment. Most teams practice once a week and compete once a week. Seasons usually last about 10 weeks. Form more information view the "Youth Sports" projects linked to our Volunteer webpage.
- Youth and Government Advisor: This volunteer helps teens develop mock legislation or prepare to argue a Moot Court Case. Most delegations meet after school at a high school or Y branch in St. Louis City or North St. Louis County.
