Ministry
Dual Concentration

Since 1974, the Graduate Ministry Program at Hope has been preparing adult students, many seeking training for a second career, for more effective leadership in their local church or para-church organization. Students experience a blend of biblical development, professional development, and personal development courses that equip them with a solid foundation for Christian leadership. The dual-concentration option is for students who wish to deepen their studies beyond the core MA by focusing upon two concentrations. This degree requires a minimum of 42 units of study including a minimum of 9 units for each concentration. Students may complete the courses totally online or through a combination or online courses and short, on-ground residencies with online follow-up.  As a totally customizable degree, students have the option of picking one of the following concentrations:

Concentrations

  • Biblical Languages
  • Children, Youth, & Family Ministry
  • Christian Ministry & Leadership
  • Intercultural Studies (Missions)
  • Pastoral Care
  • Spiritual Formation
  • Worship

This program is offered 100% online or on campus through an annual Residency on campus in Fullerton, CA.

Online

Online courses provide an interactive learning environment through online video lectures, online discussion threads, and an online drop box where you can virtually submit your assignments. Best of all, you can log-on to view lectures, participate in threaded discussions, and submit assignments any time of night or day!

On-ground (Optional Residency)

Classes are offered through a unique Residency format. A Residency consists of 8 days of Â鶹´«Ã½ learning, close interaction with outstanding Christian leaders, and fellowship and networking with like-minded ministry professionals. Residencies are held in January on campus in Fullerton, CA. Following the Residency is 4-10 weeks of online coursework.
