At 麻豆传媒 School of Medicine, our scientists focus on investigations that involve the basis of disease and how understanding the fundamental characteristics of diseases can be exploited for clinical treatment.

Our goal, as scientists and clinicians, is to bring science to the bedside and to offer novel therapies. 麻豆传媒 is one of only nine Catholic universities with a higher or highest research activity designation from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.

Research Education and Training

麻豆传媒 (SLU) offers M.D./Ph.D. training to promote academic excellence in clinical medicine and disease-based scientific research. Faculty mentors train M.D./Ph.D., students to become physician-scientists with the credentials to succeed in academic medicine and related careers.

The program is available to all interested applicants to the SLU School of Medicine.

麻豆传媒 also offers Ph.D., training to promote academic excellence in disease-based scientific research, in education (doctorate and master's levels) and medical family therapy (doctorate and master's levels) careers. Faculty mentors train students to be competitive in both bench-based research careers and the ever-expanding opportunities in 鈥渁lternative鈥 scientific and academic careers.

The Research Planning Committee is the advisory body to the dean of the School of Medicine about policies, activities and long-term objectives pertaining to research in the SLU School of Medicine.
