Public Health, M.P.H. and Social Work, M.S.W. Dual Degree
Â鶹´«Ã½'s Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) and Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) is a dual-degree program with the School of Social Work and the College for Public Health and Social Justice.
This integrated program requires completion of both the M.S.W. and M.P.H. degree requirements.
Concentrations are part of each program, including clinical and community and organization concentrations within the M.S.W. and a public health practice concentration within the M.P.H.Ìý

Accreditation

Admission Requirements
Students must meet the admission requirements and be admitted into both degree programs according to the processes of each of the participating academic units in order to pursue a dual degree program.
Individuals may apply to the M.P.H. degree program concurrently with application to the School of Social Work or following their admission to the School of Social Work; however, admission to the dual degree program is contingent upon admission to both the M.P.H. and the M.S.W. degree programs.

³§°Â¸é°Ìý5820 Integrative Practice Seminar (1 cr), ³§°Â¸é°Ìý5832 Community & Organization Practicum I (2 cr), and ³§°Â¸é°Ìý5833 Community & Organization Practicum II (3 cr) satisfy the MPH Practice Experience CEPH core requirementÌý±Ê±«µþ±áÌý5910 Practice Experience in Public HealthÌýif approved by the MPH practice experience advisor.Ìý 240 total minimum hours required for the MPH Practice Experience.
Continuation Standards
Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 in all graduate/professional courses.
Students must earn a B- or better in all required M.P.H. courses. Elective M.P.H. courses may be passed with a C or better.Ìý
Roadmaps are recommended semester-by-semester plans of study for programs and assume full-time enrollmentÌýunless otherwise noted. Ìý
Courses and milestones designated as critical (marked with !) must be completed in the semester listed to ensure a timely graduation. Transfer credit may change the roadmap.
This roadmap should not be used in the place of regular academic advising appointments. All students are encouraged to meet with their advisor/mentor each semester. Requirements, course availability and sequencing are subject to change.
