Prepare for a Career in Business, Finance and Leadership

Pitch your business ideas to real-world investors, manage a portion of Saint Louis University's endowment or immerse yourself in the world of international business — all as part of your undergraduate degree.

Â鶹´«Ã½ has a dedicated college for business — the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business, named for the SLU alumnus and billionaire businessman who founded ComPsych Corporation â€” but you'll also find paths to leadership and management-related careers across SLU's academic offerings.

Graduate Ready for Your Career in Business, Finance or Leadership

More than half of SLU students complete an internship before they graduate, and with eight Fortune 500 companies nearby — not to mention rankings from Forbes as one of the top cities for start-ups and Lending Tree as one of the best cities for young entrepreneurs — St. Louis is a great place to find one.

When you actually go in to interview for a job you can not just say 'Oh I know the theory behind it,' you can say 'Yeah, I saw the theory in practice.'"

— Sean McGowan, Finance Major

And if you are economically minded, you'll appreciate these stats:

  • 89% of recent alums from the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business report being satisfactorily occupied after graduation.
  •  U.S. News & World Report's 2022 rankings highlight SLU as a top university for international business (No. 16), undergraduate business programs (No. 17) and finance (No. 38).
