Field Schools

SLU's Department of Sociology and Anthropology hosts three field schools where you can perform fieldwork: the Cahokia Mounds Archaeology Field School, the Urban Ethnography Field School and the Primate Behavior Field School in Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

History Trips

History students at SLU are offered travel funds to visit archives and historical sites in the United States. Travel to archives and museums or visit the site of digs that delve into the ancient past.

Atlas Week

SLU's Atlas Week has been increasing awareness in global issues and spurring discussion about injustice since 2001. At its core is the question of what we as global citizens can do to contribute to a better life for all people now and in the future. Students, faculty and staff from across the University organize events that highlight the international dimensions of their programs.

Annual Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies

Each year, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Symposium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies provides a venue for scholars in all disciplines to present papers, organize sessions and participate in discussions on medieval and early modern worlds.
